Hor.14a עוֹקֵר הרים; Snh.24a עוקר הרי הרים, v. הַר. Ab. III, 17 הרוח באה ועוֹקַרְתּוֹוכ׳ a wind comes and uproots it and turns it Pesik. Ekha, p. 123a> כל מקום שנאמר ארון עוקר דיורין ומכניסוכ׳ wherever Adon (Master) is mentioned in the Bible, it means (the landlord) that displaces tenants and imports tenants; ib. עוקר כנעניםוכ׳ who drives out the Canaanites and brings in the Israelites.
